Multi-Year Convention Center Refurbishment Coming to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
If you’re planning a stay at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort over the next year or attending an upcoming conference on property, take note! Walt Disney World has officially announced a yearlong, multi-phase refurbishment for the resort’s massive convention complex and its surrounding areas.
Running from August 10, 2026, through late September 2027, this project will update the popular event venue and nearby resort spaces.
The project covers the expansive 220,000-square-foot convention facility, which is one of the largest meeting venues on Walt Disney World property.
Key areas receiving attention include:
- The Coronado Ballroom
- The Fiesta Ballroom
- The Veracruz Exhibition Hall
- 45 Breakout Rooms
- The El Centro Corridor and adjacent surrounding spaces
If you have a vacation or event booked at Coronado Springs during this 13-month timeline, Disney is taking steps to keep disruptions to a minimum:

While Disney hasn’t shared concept art or specific interior details for the updated spaces, the project is expected to give the facility a fresh, modernized look matching the elevated aesthetic of the nearby Gran Destino Tower.
