Disney's Animal Keepers throw birthday part for their Galapagos tortoises

Animal keepers at Disney’s Animal Kingdom recently celebrated the 9th birthday of their Galapagos tortoises.

Animal keepers teamed up with the Cast Members at the Animal Nutrition Center to make special birthday “cakes” for the tortoises.

The “cakes” were made of watermelon and prickly pear cactus. The tortoises seemed to really enjoy the tasty treats!

If you’d like to see these Galapagos tortoises, be on the lookout for them on Discovery Island in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
