Made with Magic items – colorful light-up Ear Hats, a Sorcerer’s Wand, and Minnie Mouse Headband – came to Disney parks several months ago. Though the Ear Hats had previously been available for “Glow With the Show” events, the line became known as Made with Magic. Now, Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration has introduced some new items – a special Ear Hat, and a Magical Paintbrush.
This is the first new Made with Magic ear hat released at Disneyland Resort since 2012. The new hat includes an all-over 60th anniversary pattern and a specially designed patch. The hat is also reportedly lighter and has a better, more comfortable fit. The paintbrush, like the Sorcerer Mickey wand, has multiple light-up functions and can be used to change the light patterns of other Made with Magic items.
Both the ear hat and the paintbrush will interact with select nighttime spectaculars at Disneyland Resort. These new items can also be used at select Disney Destinations around the world.
You can find these and other Made with Magic items in select merchandise locations at Disneyland Resort for around $25 each. Older Made with Magic items, and Glow with the Show Ear Hats will continue to work. The primary difference between the new Diamond Celebration Ear Hat and previous Ear Hats is that the hat itself is lighter, and batteries are located in each ear instead of in the crown of the hat.
