Today in my Quick Tip I want to discuss the difference in Dining between parks. Disneyland Dining is completely different from Walt Disney World. It’s more like a voucher system where you can use the cash value (except for snacks).
You get 1 Character meal a $15 meal voucher ($10 for children) and a snack per day. So you can use the Character meal vouchers (the 3-day dining plan has 3 resort Character meals and that’s just too much sometimes) at other restaurants like Blue Bayou or elsewhere in parks or hotels and you can even combine vouchers if you go to a Signature dining restaurant.

I think one very important thing to mention is that with the Disneyland vouchers, you do NOT get any change back. So if you don’t spend the entire amount, you’re out that money. It’s a generally accepted thing that the dining plan is not worth it at Disneyland.
