A Disneyland Paris cast member has tested positive for Corona Virus according to Disneyland Paris. The cast member is said to be a nighttime maintenance worker and is currently off sick after testing positive. According to Disneyland Paris, other cast members who worked with the individual are also in quarantine. However, Disneyland Paris continues to open its gates for guests and is handing out hand sanitiser to guests. In addition, cast members are trying to keep guests at safe distance apart when they queue up for attractions to mange the infection risk.
In terms of Paris, they are currently in the second stage, with many attractions closed such as the Louvre art gallery to prevent the spread of Corona Virus. France has confirmed over 1,200 cases of the virus with 19 deaths, making it the largest outbreak next to Italy.
Corona Virus Disney Park Updates
In comparison to Disneyland Paris and corona virus, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea have just announced they are temporarily closing the parks from February 29th to March 15th due to the outbreak. Shanghai has partially reopened after being closed for nearly a month in response to Corona Virus but only opening “limited number of shopping, dining and recreational experiences” resume Monday at Disneytown, Wishing Star Park and Shanghai Disney Hotel, whilst the main park remains closed.
Walt Disney World in Florida are implementing ‘preventive measures’ including easy access to hand sanitisers and robust cleaning routines.
