Disneyland Paris is ready to officially open the Avengers Campus! On July 20th, the Marvel universe is expanding in Paris, just as it has in California, and is planned to do in Hong Kong. It’s an occasion worthy of some serious celebration! A one-time-only drone show lit up the night sky to commemorate it.
Heroes gathered to reveal the new area. Attendees like Iron Man, Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, and Captain America were there. They were joined by Disney CEO Bob Chapek, Disneyland Paris President Natacha Rafalski, as well as Brie Larson, the star of “Captain Marvel.”
Disneyland President Rafalski commented that “This is such an amazing year for Disneyland Paris. Back in March, we kicked off our 30th-anniversary celebration by inviting guests to enter into a new era with us. As part of this tremendous milestone for our resort, Avengers Campus marks a significant step forward in the ongoing expansion of Walt Disney Studios Park and our overall transformation, with original storytelling and a uniquely engaging experience.” (Disney)
Brie Larson, the actress who played Captain Marvel said she was excited to be a part of the premiere in Disneyland Paris. She, along with Captain Marvel, Captain America, Spider-Man, and Iron Man characters, initialized an arc reactor to power up the land, ending in a firework display over the platform. The evening culminated in 500 drones forming a series of Avengers icons in the sky, directed by Doctor Strange himself. Make sure you check out the video above!
It’s going to be an epic new beginning at Disneyland Paris! I still believe in heroes. Do you?
