Disneyland Eliminates the Red Car news Boys Trolley Show

It’s official! Disneyland is eliminating the Red Car News Boys Trolley show that greets visitors to Disney’s California Adventure.

The trolley show features singing, dancing newsboys who arrive on a (replica) of the region’s Pacific Electric Red Car Trolley. The Red Car News Boys Trolley show was inspired by the Disney “Newsies” musical play and movie featuring songs from the 1920s and 1930s.

Unfortunately, this show needs to go due to the construction of the new Marvel Land, which disrupts the path of the trolley car.

Park officials made the statement, “Based on viewership trends and the needs of our business, we have closed the show.”

A Disney cast member of the trolley show said in an Instagram Post under the user name @jancolby, “I’m incredibly sad to say goodbye! Throughout the last 6 years, I go to work with incredibly talented people who I considered my family who taught me how to be confident in who I am on and off stage.”

The highly energetic show will make its final appearance on July 22 for an official closed date of July 23, 2019.

Jessica was born in Texas but moved to New Hampshire when she was 9. Due to her increasing hatred towards the cold, she has been secretly turning her husband into a Disney lover in hopes to move to Florida. Hopefully her cover wasn't just compromised! Oh, she also loves painting, crafting, and all that stuff.
