The skies over Disneyland have been unusually silent as the Christmas “Believe in Holiday Magic” fireworks show has been canceled several times because of “technical issues.”
Disneyland Resort spokeswoman Betsy Sanchez said a decision is being made day-to-day on whether to go forward with the fireworks show. Sanchez said the safety of guests and employees is always paramount.
The display was initially canceled on Dec. 22 because of winds and a technical issue. Sanchez said a Disney employee was taken to a hospital and released for a noise-related injury from the fireworks operation.
The technical issues have continued on several days since that night. The seasonal display is due to run through Jan. 8.
