Disneyland Announces Fantasmic Showtimes Ahead of Reopening
Fantasmic is returning to Disneyland next month after being on hiatus for almost a year! The show took an extended break after the Maleficent dragon caught on fire during a performance last year. Disney previously shared that the nighttime spectacular would be returning on May 24, 2024!

The night sky deepens, and the Rivers of America transforms into a magical spectacle. Special effects weave their dazzling spell, creating an epic canvas for this live extravaganza.
Mickey slumbers, dreaming himself as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice. With a flick of his wrists, he conducts scenes from Fantasia on colossal water screens, while fireworks ignite the night above. From playful pink elephants to daring pirates, cherished Disney princesses to iconic moments from classics like Aladdin, The Lion King, Tangled, and Pirates of the Caribbean, these captivating scenes erupt around the Rivers of America.
Suddenly, the Magic Mirror pulls Mickey into its depths, and his dream takes a sinister turn. The Evil Queen of Snow White awakens Disney’s most notorious villains! With imagination as his weapon, Mickey must battle these foes to reclaim the happy ending.
This show will leave the entire family spellbound, boasting a fantastical cast of live performers, beloved Disney characters, cutting-edge special effects, stunning projections, and a breathtaking fireworks display.
We now know that the show will be performed at 9 pm and 10:30 pm on May 24. Sadly, however, the large Maleficent dragon will not be returning immediately. Disneyland unveiled changes to the popular Maleficent and Sorcerer Mickey scene for their nighttime entertainment. The upcoming summer season will feature a new take on the battle, with details yet to be revealed.
