Allstate Steel Company, a subcontractor out of Jacksonville, FL, is suing Disney for $80,000 or unpaid bills from the work they did on the current Jungle Skipper Canteen Co. Ltd. Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom.

Allstate Steel Company was one of the subcontractors who worked on overhauling The Verandah in Adventureland to the new Skipper Canteen in 2016. The general contractor for the project was Vanson Enterprises and they are also named in the suit.

Allstate Steel claims that they were never paid by Vanson and Disney from the labor and fabricated steel that provided for the project.

“Allstate has exhausted all other remedies by making multiple payment demands upon Vanson,” the lawsuit said. “Upon information and belief, Vanson has not been paid for the scope of services for which Allstate is seeking payment.”

In addition to the $80,000 Allstate Steel claims they are owed, they are also looking for interest, court costs and attorney fees. They also have placed a lien on the property.
