With everyone focused on Coronavirus around the globe, many people have been asking us what Disney is doing to combat the spread of the virus for both their cast members and guests visiting the parks.
This past Sunday Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis stated that two people in Florida have tested positive for Coronavirus and are currently being monitored by the Florida Department of Health.
A spokesperson for Disney said they are monitoring the situation and released a statement for Walt Disney World…
“We have very stringent sanitation procedures in place at Walt Disney World Resort. We are in close contact with health agencies for information and guidance, and at this time, we are continuing to communicate to our Cast the importance of preventative measures such as frequent handwashing and rigorous cleaning processes,” the spokesperson reached out to People on the plans for Disney World.
“For guest convenience, we have placed additional hand sanitizers throughout our parks and resorts and will adjust our protocols as the situation warrants,” they stated as well.
So far Toyko, Shanghai, and Hong Kong Disneyland have been closed due to Coronavirus with eyes on Disneyland and Walt Disney World possibly next.
