Disney World Refurbishment Calendar for August 2013 and beyond

Disney World Refurbishment Calendar information is subject to change without notice and should be confirmed just prior to visiting. Updated information is available at the Disney World Website.

Magic Kingdom

• July 27-30, 2013: Pirates of the Caribbean will be closed for an animation refurbishment.
• July 31- Aug. 28, 2013: Enchanted Tiki Room will be closed.
• Aug. 1-21, 2013: Prince Charming Regal Carrousel will be closed.
• Aug. 5-9, 2013: Liberty Belle Riverboat will be closed.
• Aug. 19-Sept. 30, 2013: Jungle Cruise will be closed.
• Sept. 30-Nov. 13, 2013: Peter Pan will be closed.
• Sept. 30-Nov. 20, 2013: Walt Disney World Railroad will be closed for refurbishment.

Epcot

• Now-Fall 2013: Fountainview Ice Cream Shop closed for refurbishment as it is converted to a Starbucks location.
• Now-Mid-December 2013: Construction walls will be up around existing waterfront facility in Morocco Pavilion. A temporary stage will be set-up.
• Now-To Be Determined: Pin Central Card is closed.
• Aug. 21-28, 2013: Spaceship Earth will be closed.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

• Aug. 6-Sept. 2, 2013: Muppet*Vision 3D will be closed for refurbishment.
• Sept. 3-Nov. 19, 2013: Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Playground will be closed.

Disney Palm Golf Course

• Now-Mid-November 2013: Disney Palm Golf Course will be closed.

Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort

• Now-Sept. 20, 2013: Feature icons refurbishment will occur.

Disney’s All-Star Music Resort

• Now-Aug. 7, 2013: Melody Hall Guest check-in parking lot rejuvenation.
• Now-Sept. 2013: Feature icons refurbishment will occur.

Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort

• Now-Sept 20. 2013: Feature icons refurbishment will occur.
• July 28 – Aug. 4, 2013: All-Star Sports Arcade will be closed as it transitions to the grab-and-go food location during the Food Court refurbishment. The Arcade will reopen on Aug. 5th with grab-and-go service for the duration of the refurbishment. During this time, arcade games will not be available.
• Aug. 5-Dec. 20, 2013: All-Star Sports Food Court will be closed for refurbishment.
• Beginning Aug. 5th, the Arcade will serve as the grab-and-go food location while the Food Court is under refurbishment. During this time, arcade games will not be available. Busses will be available to bring Guests to All-Star Music for hot food.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort

• Now-TBD: California Grill will be closed for refurbishment.
• Now-Dec. 8, 2013: Guest elevators will undergo enhancement.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

• Aug. 5-7, 2013: Convention Center parking lot will undergo refurbishment.

Disney’s Polynesian Resort

• Now-Oct. 4, 2013: Guest room will undergo soft goods replacement.
• Sept 9-20, 2013: Volcano feature pool will undergo refurbishment.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort

• Now-Aug.2, 2013 70’s & 80’s Guest parking lot will undergo refurbishment
• Now-Sept. 20, 2013: Feature icons refurbishment will occur.

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter

• Aug. 8-30, 2013: Lodge buildings window frame and shutters painting will occur.

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside

• Now-Aug. 30, 2013: Bridges and bus stop stonework will undergo vine removal and theme painting.

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

• Aug. 25-Sept. 14, 2013: Grandstand Pool will undergo refurbishment.

Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts

• Now-Aug. 12, 2013: Beach Club Villas sidewalk will undergo repairwork.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

• Now-Aug. 5, 2013: Main building exterior repairs will occur.

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

Please note due to a possible defect in refrigerators in some of the Guest rooms at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, Resort Hotels at these locations have removed or temporarily disconnected Guest room refrigerators until the issue can be resolved.

Guests staying at these Resort hotels will be notified of the refrigerator removal via a letter in their room. Currently the schedule for replacing the refrigerators at these Resorts is expected to last several months.
