Disney World is Reducing Park Hours After the Holidays

Cinderella Castle

We’ve been enjoying the expanded park hours over at Walt Disney World during the holiday season. Although the hours still aren’t what they were pre-COVID, guests can spend most of the day at the park and pack in some activity. However, those extended park hours will be ending after the new year. We have some updates on park hours coming in 2021.

Currently, the park hours have been as follows: Magic Kingdom: 8 am to 9 pm, EPCOT: 11 am to 10 pm, Disney’s Hollywood Studios: 10 am to 7 pm, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom:  8 am to 8 pm. New hours for February, as reflected on the Walt Disney World website, are not quite as extensive. They are Magic Kingdom: 9 am to 6 pm, EPCOT: 11 am to 7 pm, Disney’s Hollywood Studios: 10 am to 7 pm, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom:  9 am to 5 pm. Hours have been most severely impacted at the end of the day. Hollywood Studios is the only park that shows no changes as of yet.

The parks may have been extending their hours to help alleviate holiday crowds. Christmas is a notably busy time of year for Walt Disney World, and families who hope to make the most of their days won’t have much luck if the parks’ hours are limited. The early months of the year are much slower. That could mean that guests can maximize their time better and won’t need as many hours in the parks to accomplish their goals.

Plan if you’re scheduling for the beginning of the year! Make sure you’re checking the park hours at Walt Disney World every time you go because these schedules can change.

  1. The hours they stay open ate a joke. For the amount of money they charge and the enjoyment that anyone can get what with the crowds they should stay open 12 if not 24 hours a day.
