Later this year Walt Disney World will be introducing Early Park Entry for guests staying at a Disney World hotel. As part of Disney World’s 50th-anniversary celebration, Disney Resort hotel guests and guests of other select hotels will be able to enjoy more fun with 30-minute early entry to ANY theme park, EVERY day.
Disney Announces They Will Replace Extra Magic Hours
This will be a great way for Disney World Resort guests to get a jump start on their day! The new early theme park entry benefit also helps Disney better spread visitation across all four theme parks, while providing added flexibility by giving guests extra early park time on each day of their vacation and in the park of their choosing.
This Early Park Entry is different from the Extra Magic Hours Walt Disney World used to have. The Extra Magic Hours benefit was suspended when Walt Disney World Resort reopened last summer, and as Disney continues to manage attendance with health and safety top of mind, Extra Magic Hours will not return.
There’s no exact date for when Early Park Entry will take effect but we do know it’ll begin this fall as part of Walt Disney World’s 50th-anniversary celebration.

I was surprised it will only be 30 minutes before park opening, formerly it was an hour. If the goal is to spread visitation and alleviate crowding at opening, it would be best to be an hour before. The perks of staying on property are dwindling fast.
