Disney World and Orlando Theme Parks Accident & Injury Report for 1st Quarter of 2022!

The Orlando theme park accident & injury report for the 1st quarter of this year has been released. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services released the report for incidents that happened from January through March 2022.

The theme parks included in the report are Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, and SeaWorld Orlando. The “injuries” reported aren’t necessarily all injuries, but incidents or scenarios that happened on property that resulted from an underlying condition, such as a chronic cardiac condition.


Injuries that happened on property and resulted in hospitalization for longer than 24 hours are included in the report. All other injuries are not included.

Walt Disney World

  • 72-year-old female lost consciousness on the Magic Kingdom‘s Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover – February
  • 43-year-old female lost consciousness after disembarking Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios – March
  • 63-year-old female lost her balance on Prince Charming Regal Carrousel at Magic Kingdom, resulting in a hip fracture – March
  • 74-year-old female suffered a hip injury on Prince Charming Regal Carrousel at Magic Kingom – February
  • 5 injuries reported as “stroke-like” symptoms, “chest pain,” and a “cardiac event.” Three of those injuries took place at Soarin’ Around the World in Epcot

  • 12-year-old male suffered a leg injury on Ice Breaker – February
  • Injury at Aquatica water park

Universal Orlando

  • Injury involving motion sickness at Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey
  • Injury involving hip pain at Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey
  • Injury at Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl
