Shrek 4-D at Universal Studios Orlando is being replaced. Universal hasn’t announced what exactly will be replacing the attraction, but there have been hints and rumors that a new Minion attraction is coming. Now, a new permit has been filed for that location.

Reporter Alicia Stella shared the following on Twitter:
“Big permit filed for Shrek 4-D replacement at Universal Studios Florida, Project 331, rumored to be the Minions Villain-Con attraction. The permit covers multiple utility upgrades and replacements, as well as new sidewalks, queue rails, interior partitions, catwalks and ceilings.”

The permit shows that Universal plans to install new plumbing systems, walkways, queues, rails, new ceilings, and “various other facility elements”. There is still no confirmation that the attraction will be Minions-themed, but the construction walls around the building are covered in Minions.
