The chefs at the Walt Disney World Resort have outdone themselves with the delicious eats and drinks available for the 50th anniversary. There are some wonderful foods coming to Magic Kingdom that are not only tasty but themed to different attractions in the park!
First up is a Pressed Penny Chocolate Silk Pie. Available at Casey’s Corner this treat pays a nod to the pressed penny collectors and to Walt Disney himself as he LOVED chocolate.
Next is the Five-Alarm Wings. These wins can be found at Tony’s Town Square. Wings aren’t very Italian but the restaurant is right across from the Fire Station on Main Street. How cute is the bucket they’re served in?
Over at Pinnochio’s Village Haus you will find a delicious Korean Shortrib Flatbread. The flatbread features Korean barbecue, shredded beef, mozzarella, and red cabbage slaw drizzled with spicy ginger mayonnaise. This item is based on “it’s a small world” and will change to highlight different countries. If you want to try this flatbread, get over there soon!
The scrumptious Monte Cristo sandwich is found at The Plaza Restaurant. It is similar to the one offered at Disneyland except for one major thing: the batter! This one is funnel cake batter which will make it extra golden and crispy. It’s served with a side of housemade strawberry jam.
How cute is this burger? Over at The Friar’s Nook you’ll find the adorable Toad Burger which pays homage to Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, a former Magic Kingdom attraction.
Some might not be too sure about this drink. Squid’s Revenge can be found at Be Our Guest. The drink is a michelada with a salted rim and garnished with charred octopus and cucumber. Watch out for those tenticles!
At Columbia Harbour House guests will find a Haunted Mansion themed milkshake! Happy Haunts milkshake is a blackberry shake topped with a purple glazed chocolate doughnut.
For a lighter Haunted Mansion themed beverage, head over to Sleepy Hollow and pick up a Doom Berry. It is a non-alcoholic blackberry ginger beer and very refreshing. Both Haunted Mansion drinks come with special Haunted Mansion straws!
Another food dedicated to a former attraction is the Mission to Mars Burger. This burger has mac&cheese, bacon, and a bun topped with cheese puffs! You’ll find it at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe.
Have you ever wanted to eat ice cream out of a bathtub? Now you can! Head over to Aunty Gravity’s Galactic Goodies and pick up an Uncle Orville Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow Sundae. This treat is a nod to one of the scenes in Carousel of Progress. It is made of chocolate and vanilla soft-serve, brownie pieces, hot fudge, and whipped cream topped with red, white, and blue sprinkles.
Churro lovers can find Dumbo Churros at outdoor kiosks in Fantasyland. These churros are rolled in peanut dust and served with a chocolate dipping sauce.
Last but not least is the incredible “Cheers to 50 Years” sundae! Take a friend, or 4, with you to The Plaza Restaurant. This treat features chocolate and vanilla ice cream, brownies, cupcakes, cookie crumbles, pretzel rods, and hot fudge topped with whipped cream, EARidescent sugar, and a Mickey pretzel drizzled with caramel and chocolate icing. You can try to finish it all by yourself but it is meant to be shared with 4-5 people.
