Disney Worker Injured at Animal Kingdom

Our thoughts and prayers go out to a a Walt Disney World worker that was rushed to the hospital Sunday after suffering a head injury while working on a ride in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Disney officials said the maintenance worker was working on the “Primeval Whirl” attraction when the accident happened around 3:45pm.

The employee was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition.The attraction had been closed to guests for refurbishment.

“Our concern at this time is for the cast member. We’ve sent a fellow cast member to the hospital to provide assistance to him and his family,” said a Walt Disney World spokesperson.
