Disney Reveals First Look at Reimagined Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs Resort

Disney has shared the first look at the newly redesigned Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, offering guests a preview of the refreshed accommodations that will debut over the coming months.

In a new behind-the-scenes video from Walt Disney Imagineering, the creative team showcased how the updated villas were developed, revealing a design process inspired by more than a century of Disney animation. Imagineers explained that they explored Disney’s rich storytelling history to determine which characters and themes would feel most at home in the unique treehouse setting.

The redesign process moved through several stages before construction began. First, the team created a virtual model room to visualize the complete space digitally. Next came a functional model room where layouts and guest interactions were tested. Finally, a contractor model room was built as the full-scale reference used for construction throughout the resort’s collection of villas.

While Disney has not yet released extensive interior photos, the preview suggests a brighter and more contemporary look while still aiming to capture the charm of the wooded retreat. The Treehouse Villas remain one of Walt Disney World’s most unique accommodations, offering standalone elevated villas tucked away along the Sassagoula River in a peaceful forested setting.

The refurbishment project was previously announced earlier this year and is scheduled to continue in phases through mid-September 2026. The resort’s 60 octagonal Treehouse Villas are being updated one cluster at a time, allowing portions of the resort to remain available for guests while work continues elsewhere.
