CEO Bob Chapek made the announcement at Disney’s 2020 investor day event today that Disney+ has shot right past 86.8 Million Subscribers exceeding the company’s “wildest expectations.”
He went on to say, “It’s hard to believe it’s only been a year since we first introduced you and the world to a whole new way of enjoying the magic of Disney in the comfort and convenience of your own homes.”
As of October 3rd, Disney+ had 73.7 Million subscribers that is an increase of 13.1 million in just 2 months!
Also announced at the investors day event was Disney having 38.8 million Hulu subscribers, and 11.5 million ESPN+ subscribers.

Daniel revealed that Disney+ will become home to 10 Marvel series, 10 Star Wars series, 15 Disney live-action, Disney Animation, and Pixar series, and 15 Disney live-action, Disney Animation, and Pixar films.
The company will also release the animated feature “Raya and the Last Dragon” on premium video-on-demand through Disney+ and in theaters at the same time.
