Disney Legend Ming-Na Wen Honored with Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
Today Disney Legend Ming-Na Wen was honored with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Ming-Na Wen is the 2,757th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and can be found at 6840 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, CA 90028, near the El Capitan Theatre.
In 1993, the esteemed Disney Legend achieved her breakthrough with a remarkable performance in the film “The Joy Luck Club.” During her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, she was honored by esteemed guest speakers who happened to be her co-stars from “The Joy Luck Club”: Tamlyn Tomita, Lauren Tom, and Rosalind Chao.
Wen has lent her voice to the character of Mulan on various occasions, reprising the role in projects like “Mulan II,” “Sofia the First,” and “Ralph Breaks the Internet.” She also made a special cameo in the live-action remake of “Mulan.” In recognition of her contributions, she was honored as a Disney Legend in 2019, shortly before the release of the live-action adaptation.
In addition to her role as a Disney Princess, Wen has showcased her talent in the expansive worlds of “Star Wars” and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans have seen her in the role of Fennec Shand across multiple “Star Wars” projects, including “The Mandalorian,” “The Book of Boba Fett,” and “The Bad Batch.” She also left a lasting impression as Melinda May, appearing in all seasons of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
