Disney Legend Lea Salonga to Get Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
The acclaimed Tony and Olivier Award-winning singer and actress Lea Salonga is set to receive a star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame! This prestigious honor recognizes her remarkable contributions to theater. Salonga, who recently concluded her run in Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends, will be celebrated as part of the Class of 2026. The official ceremony date is still to be announced.

Lea Salonga is celebrated globally for her iconic, Tony Award-winning performance in Miss Saigon. Her extensive list of accolades also includes an Olivier, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Theater World Awards, as well as the Time100 Impact Award from Time Magazine and the Gold Legend Award from Gold House.
Making Broadway history, Salonga was the first Asian actress to portray Eponine in Les Misérables, later returning to the production as Fantine in its 2006 revival. Disney fans of all ages cherish Lea as the unforgettable singing voice of Princess Jasmine in Aladdin and Fa Mulan in Mulan and Mulan II. For her contributions to these beloved roles, The Walt Disney Company honored her with the prestigious title of “Disney Legend.”
Beyond the stage and her iconic Disney voice roles, Salonga has released 14 albums and performed to sold-out crowds in landmark venues worldwide. Her versatile talents also extend to the screen, with appearances in MAX’s Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin and Sony’s Yellow Rose, and voice roles in Netflix’s Centaurworld and FX’s Little Demon.
