Disney Legend Alice Davis has passed away. Davis is best known for her dedicated work on several Disney films and iconic theme park attractions such as Carousel of Progress, It’s a Small World, and Pirates of the Caribbean. She began her career at Disney alongside her future husband Marc Davis (1913-2000) by designing costumes for Helene Stanley, the live-action reference for Aurora in Sleeping Beauty.

Alice additionally worked with fellow Disney Legend Mary Blair on It’s a Small World which featured over 150 costumes. Disney honored Alice Davis by inducting her as a Disney Legend in 2004 and again in 2012 with a Disneyland Window paired with her late husband’s on Main Street, USA.

Our deepest condolences go out to the family, friends, and fans of Alice Davis 🕯
