There are dozens of titles currently in development for Disney+, and outlets are now sharing that one such title is a ‘Real Steel’ series! Not much is known about the series, but the Real Steel (2011) film’s director Shawn Levy has signed on as executive producer for the show.
It is currently unknown if the series will follow the events of the movie or if it will be a new iteration of the story. No casting news has been released at this time as the show is still currently in early development. The 2011 film starred Hugh Jackman, Dakota Goyo, Evangeline Lilly, Anthony Mackie, Olga Fonda, Karl Yune, and more. None of the previous cast has signed on for the project, but executive producer Shawn Levy had shared he and Jackman had previously discussed a potential sequel in the past.
