New Disney Springs Permits Filed for Bridge, Restaurants, and Shops
Walt Disney World has filed a new batch of construction permits around Disney Springs, including one covering the pedestrian bridge that connects the Marketplace and Town Center areas.

The permits were filed by Disney’s Facility Asset Management team and list Disney’s own Buena Vista Construction Company as the contractor. Each permit describes the work simply as “general construction,” which typically points toward maintenance, repairs, or smaller updates rather than a major new project. The bridge permit is especially notable since the walkway provides a popular shortcut across the lagoon between the Marketplace and Town Center. Disney has not announced a closure, but maintenance work could potentially impact access if crews need to temporarily restrict the bridge.
Several familiar Disney Springs locations are also included in the latest round of permits. Paddlefish, Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant, UNIQLO, The LEGO Store, the Happy Hound kiosk, and The BOATHOUSE all have permits filed for general construction work. No specific details about what will be changed or repaired at any of the locations have been released, and all of the permits currently expire on September 21, 2027.
