Disney Eyeing Alan Cumming and Stephen Graham to Join the Cast of ‘Pinocchio‘. According to a casting update obtained by TheIlluminerdi, Disney is looking to cast Stehpen Graham and Alan Cumming in the live-action remake of Pinocchio. Reportedly, Graham would play The Coachman who lures the boys to Pleasure Island and where they are turned into donkeys, and Cumming would be the voice over for the anthropomorphic CGI animated character Honest John.
Currently, Robert Zemeckis is set to direct to film, with reports from Disney that Tom Hanks is currently the primary interest to play Gepetto. Disney has yet to share how they plan on bringing the adventurous puppet to life on the big screen, but continues to move forward with the project despite major set backs in production. It is also currently unknown if the “live-action” Pinocchio will premiere in theaters on on Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+.
