Walt Disney Animation Studios celebrates Disney100 with Time Flies: Celebrating 100 Years
The Disney100 Celebration marks 100 years since the founding of The Walt Disney Company, which traces its roots back to 1923 when Walt signed a contract with M. J. Winkler to produce a series of Alice Comedies. The rest, as they say, is history, as The Walt Disney Company has continually demonstrated excellence in animation for the past century.

The Walt Disney Animation Studios Ink & Paint Department, in celebration of Disney100, has created “Time Flies: Celebrating 100 Years, a one-of-a-kind piece of art utilizing 100 years’ worth of traditional ink and paint techniques.
The background of the print starts in black and white and then evolves to color. The piece depicts Mickey and Minnie flying high above the 3 buildings that have been the home to Walt Disney Animation Studios over the past century: Hyperion Studio, where Mickey and Minnie were first created, the Burbank Lot, built after the success of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” and then finally the iconic “Hat Building,” the current home of Walt Disney Animation Studios.
This limited edition print was produced in 2022 and is comprised of a general edition of 100, number 1/100 to 100/100. Time Flies: Celebrating 100 Years is now available at Disneyana at the Disneyland Resort and coming soon to Walt Disney World Resort galleries.
