The hanging scene in the Haunted Mansion has recently become a controversial topic. There have been calls to remove the scene noting its association with suicide and lynchings. Disney has heard the complaints, but for now the scene is not changing.
“It’s been discussed for sure,” says Disney’s Michele Hobbs, who managed the Haunted Mansion refurbishment. “It’s definitely something that we’re thinking about.”
While that scene has not changed, take a look at the other changes and updates coming to Haunted Mansion:

Now I’ve heard everything!
Leave it alone, it’s a haunted mansion!
Upset because it talks about lynching???
Now people are upset, tbh im suprised their mad that a white man is being lynched, but as a man who is covered with Haunted Mansion tattoos, it better never leave!!
Leave it alone what is wrong with people these days it has been that way since the ride came to be. All these woke idiots need to get off there soap box and leave it alone it’s a ride for crying out loud. If you woke idiots are so concerned how about instead of blaming it on a scene on a ride you fight to get out of this lockdown nonsense that is the real problem let’s get back to normal people.
I think the scene should remain. This has been an icon of the park for many years.
The scene should NOT change!
Its the Haunted Mansion!
