Disney Dining Review – Lunch from Nomad’s Lounge at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. One major thing we always mention when talking about Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the theming in and around the park. That theming makes its way into every store and restaurant, and Nomad Lounge is no different.
We got over to Nomad’s Lounge for lunch last week and had a great lunch, with beautiful scenery, good drinks, and great flavor. You can read more about the Lounge below.

We ordered off the specials menu, Ordering the Beef Sliders with chipotle aioli and fries. Small and bite-size, not something to write home about, but did have a decent burger flavor. Next up, Smoked Pork Spareribs, and they were a highlight. A burnt-end bbq flavor, with a pleasant smokiness to them. The sweet soy glaze makes these ribs flavorful and easy to eat.
The stand-out, in our opinion, was the Lobster Mac and Cheese, which had Black Diamond Cheddar, Sherry, and Oriecchette pasta. The lobster pieces were well blended and did not lose the salty taste. The shells were a perfect pasta, and the source was creamy and delicious.
We ended our relaxing lunch with the Churros. I know most people have strong opinions about churros at Walt Disney World, but these are the exception. Delicious, crunchy outside, doughy middle and comes with a vanilla dipping sauce. So dang good! Best Churro this side of the Mississippi.
What stands out about the Nomad’s Lounge is the atmosphere. If it is a hot day, the seating inside is beautifully appointed and spacious, with plenty of room at the bar. Where Nomad stands out is outside on the veranda. Tree-lined and covered in shade, it feels like you have left the park itself. The character cavalcades pass right in front of you on the canal, which makes this extra special for the little ones.

Festive banners hang in the center of the lounge, each posing a different question about traveling the world and the thrill of discovery. During your visit, take a few moments to jot down answers to these questions on decorative tags provided by Cast Members. Later, your responses will be hung on a “tag chandelier” suspended above the bar for all to see.
