Disney Cruise Line Is Looking for a Youth Activities Counselor

As the new Youth Activities Counselor, you will be responsible for supervising and interacting with kids between the ages of ages 3 and 17. You’ll be expected to maintain a safe and entertaining environment for all your guests whether in Youth Activities spaces onboard the ships or on the island. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to set-up for facilitated activities, cleaning and sanitizing before, during, and after programs, caring for audio and lighting needs, registration/check-in/check-out services, readying food trays for children at meal or snack times, aiding in meet-and-greet functions for children and parents on embarkation day, helping in scheduled family activities such as game shows, crowd control, and Port Adventures dispatch.

To apply, you should have experience in overnight or day camp work, or working in a fast-paced environment in recreation, resort, daycare, before/after school care setting. See job posting for specifics. The applicant must be at least 20 years of age, should be able to grasp the attention of a group of children and have experience working with groups between 25 and 200 children at least. The person hired will need to be able to work without a day off for 4 ½ months at a time, and work 70-84 hours per week. It is a commitment and you must be willing to live and work onboard the Disney Cruise ship for the duration.
