Yes you read that right. News reports are coming in all over the Disney Blog-o-sphere that REAL wine and beer will be served at dinner in Be Our Guest Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom. Don’t believe me? Well take a look at the Beer & Wine list for Be Our Guest Restaurant here.
The official news broke today in a post by Disney Parks Blog:
“As part of the overall theming, we wanted to offer wine that enhances the guest experience and complements the French-inspired cuisine,” says Stuart McGuire, Beverage Director, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. “The wines focus primarily on France’s famous wine-growing regions, including Champagne, Alsace, Loire, Rhone, Burgundy and Bordeaux.
“We’ll also offer the leading French beer, Kronenbourg 1664,” says McGuire. “And, staying in the general region, we’ll also offer Belgian beers.”
So is this an open door to have alcohol served all over the park? Will we see Aloha Isle serving pina coladas? How bout doing shots at Peco Bills? I know I would love to walk around the Magic Kingdom with a margarita in hand, especially when wait times are 60 minutes plus!
So I want to hear what you think about this interesting news. Let me know in the comment box below or over on Facebook.

I think Walt rolled over in his grave!!
People seem to feel strongly one way or another about this issue. Lots of people enjoy one or two drinks with their meal and don’t get drunk off them. There is alcohol in every other park and hotel and I’ve encountered very few drunks in my times down there. Universal Studios is way worse for this especially at the Halloween event.
All the other parks serve wine and beer so I was actually surprised when we visited MK and found out it was a dry park.
