Disney Broadway Cast Members Sing “Go the Distance” From Hercules on GMA. The stars of Disney Broadway have been hard at work despite theaters “going dark” for weeks now due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Various performers have been gathering together to give virtual concerts and performances for fans and have also been raising funds for charities set to help with relief efforts.
A full Disney Benefit Concert is set to take place on April 13th, but some of the performers gave us a sneak peek during this mornings broadcast on Good Morning America by singing Alan Menken’s latest rendition of “Go the Distance” from the new stage adaption based on the popular animated film, Hercules.
Performers include Broadway stars:
- Heather Headley (The Lion King, Aida)
- Ciara Renee (Frozen, The Hunchback of Notre Dame)
- Jelani Alladin (Frozen, Hercules)
- L. Steven Taylor (The Lion King)
- Adrienne Walker (The Lion King)
- McKenzie Kurtz (Frozen)
- Michael Jame Scott (Aladdin)
- Ryan McCartan (Frozen)
- James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin)
