*We have an update! It’s a boy! The little Masai giraffe calf has been identified as a boy and is doing fantastic! Mom and baby have been kept backstage so they can keep a close eye on him and make sure he is doing well! Stay tuned because it seems as though we might have a chance at choosing the new giraffes name!
Baby Giraffe Born Today at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park! Have you ‘herd’ the big news? A baby giraffe was added to the Animal Kingdom family today! Mara, a Masai giraffe, gave birth to a calf today around 2:00 p.m. on the Kilimanjaro Safari Savanna. This new “little one” stands about 6 feet tall and is bonding well with her mother. Gender is still undetermined, but stay tuned for more updates!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom babies bring us so much joy. We have been following along as Disney has announced the addition of so many new little ones this year. We have been following along on their journey and cannot wait to see all the additional babied to come.
