Dust off your low-rise jeans, dig out that old bucket hat, and get ready to pause your Tamagotchi, because Disney+ and Hulu are about to hit the ultimate rewind button. This summer, the streaming giants are launching a massive Summer of Nostalgia, serving up a glorious wave of 90s and 2000s throwbacks that will make you feel like you just walked out of a mall arcade. If you’ve been craving the days when your biggest worry was whether to rent a VHS or a DVD on a Friday night, your summer plans are officially sorted.

The time travel begins right now! Kicking off on May 22, premium subscribers can tune into an all-day throwback stream featuring a marathon of the top 50 Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOMs). Yes, we’re talking about the holy grail of millennial and Gen Z childhoods. To top it off, a brand-new podcast hosted by Sherry Cola and Cierra Ramirez is dropping to take us deep behind the scenes of the soundtracks and secrets of High School Musical, The Cheetah Girls, Camp Rock, and so many more of our core-memory favorites.

But the nostalgia trip doesn’t stop with the classics you already know by heart. Disney+ is dropping some serious gems into its library this season. Mark your calendars for May 25, because both the beautifully existential 80s classic The Brave Little Toaster and seasons 1 and 2 of the ultimate Saturday-morning cartoon, The Weekenders, are finally arriving. And if you thought the era of sing-alongs was over, think again. This August, we are being blessed with Camp Rock 3, alongside a brand-new season of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place dropping later this summer.

For those who want to experience the nostalgia in 3D, Disney+ and Hulu are bringing the era back to life in the most fitting venue possible: the mall.

This pop-up will feature a retro photo lab to capture those flawless throwback poses, a beauty salon to get your millennium-era look on point, a throwbacks fountain, and a mystery pin machine to scratch that collector’s itch. It’s basically everything we loved about the year 2000, minus the dial-up internet speeds.

To wrap it all up in a neat, neon-colored bow, Summer Fridays are officially making a comeback starting June 5 for eligible Disney+ subscribers. You can look forward to exclusive perks, interactive quizzes, and the chance to earn themed digital badges.
