Disney recently announced that all U.S. salaried and non-union cast members would be required to get the COVID-19 vaccine. The company has also been in talks with unions regarding requiring union members to be vaccinated. This agreement will require all entertainment cast members represented by the Service Trades Council Union, which represents 30,000 employees at Walt Disney World, to be vaccinated by October 22, 2021. Waivers for religious and medical reasons will be available but cast members who do not get a waiver or the vaccine will not be able to keep their position.
