Late-night theme park magic is officially sticking around. Disney After Hours events are returning to Walt Disney World Resort for 2027, bringing back late-night access, minimal waits at marquee attractions, and all the complimentary snacks you can handle.
These separately ticketed, three-hour events take place after regular park closing at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT. With limited ticket capacity, guests can walk onto popular rides that normally command multi-hour standby queues during the day.

Event Dates for 2027
The 2027 season spans from early winter through the summer, providing ample opportunities to experience the parks after dark.

- Disney’s Hollywood Studios Select nights from January 16 through August 25, 2027.

Ticket Purchase Information
Guests looking to secure their spot at these highly popular events can take advantage of tiered booking windows.
- Early Access: Guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green can purchase Disney After Hours tickets starting now.
- General Admission Tickets will be available to all other guests beginning September 22, 2026.

What Makes Disney After Hours Special
Unlike holiday parties that focus heavily on exclusive parades and specialty fireworks, After Hours is built entirely around maximizing attraction counts with almost zero friction.
- Significantly Lower Crowds: Ticket quantities are tightly capped, leaving pathways, queues, and ride vehicles practically empty compared to regular operating hours.
- Complimentary Treats Included: Carts throughout the parks distribute unlimited ice cream novelties (including Mickey premium bars and ice cream sandwiches), freshly popped popcorn, and select bottled beverages at no additional charge.
- Early Mix-In Access Event tickets grant entry into the designated park as early as 7:00 PM, well before the event officially begins, giving guests extra time to catch the evening fireworks or grab a sit-down meal.

Magic Kingdom After Hours
At Magic Kingdom, guests can experience the park bathed in nighttime lighting while knocking out dozens of rides across Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Frontierland, and Adventureland.
Expect low wait times across premier attractions including
- TRON Lightcycle / Run
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- Space Mountain
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- Haunted Mansion
Because standby lines shrink dramatically, guests can easily loop headliner coasters multiple times in a single evening.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios After Hours
For thrill-seekers, Disney’s Hollywood Studios offers some of the highest value during late-night events, where daytime wait times typically soar across major lands.
Guests can step directly into
- Star Wars – Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon – Smugglers Run inside Star Wars – Galaxy’s Edge
- Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Mania!, and Alien Swirling Saucers in Toy Story Land
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Exploring Galaxy’s Edge at night with empty walkways offers an atmospheric experience that is almost impossible to duplicate during normal park hours.

EPCOT After Hours
EPCOT provides a relaxed, evening-paced After Hours experience, allowing visitors to zip between World Discovery and World Showcase without the usual crowds.
Featured attractions include
- Guardians of the Galaxy – Cosmic Rewind
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
- Frozen Ever After
- Soarin’ Around the World
- Test Track
Having the chance to ride Guardians of the Galaxy – Cosmic Rewind via a standard standby queue instead of the usual daytime boarding groups or lightning lanes remains one of the top draws of the EPCOT event.
