Disney has made an effort to display content warnings ahead of streamable shows and films on Disney+ that may not be suitable for certain audience members who may not be aware of the content they are about to view. A new warning for the streaming service was initially added to the details section of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series that stated: “Warning: Contains violence involving children“, but the warning has since been altered to say “There are certain scenes in this fictional series that some viewers may find upsetting.“

As pictured above, the warning was altered to appear less distressing and to prevent a low level of spoiling for fans who complained about the nature of the text. Some fans seemed surprised by the darker content while other fans have pointed out that this is not the first time the Star Wars films and shows have alluded to or featured content that involved the endangerment of or violence against children.
The series features a TV-14 rating for viewers, so we recommend viewing the show for yourself before watching it with your padawans or younglings. This is a developing story, so be sure to check back here at Chip and Company for updates and all things Star Wars!
