Disney+ Releases NEW Trailer & Images for Limited Series Obi-Wan Kenobi

May the 4th be with you readers! To honor this galactic day and Star Wars Day, Lucasfilms and Disney+ released a new trailer and photos for their highly-anticipated new series Obi-Wan Kenobi. The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as an evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. You can check out the new trailer below!

In the new trailer, we are introduced to some key characters that will play a big part in the world-building of Kenobi’s story. Not only do we have the return of Ewan McGregor reprising his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi, but we also have some new characters joining the storyline. These include The Inquisitor a white-masked menacing leader, played by Rupert Friend, who is joined by a fearless warrior, and red Sabor wielding Reva played by Moses Ingram.

Another character the new trailer introduces is Owen Lars, played by Joel Edgerton who is the guardian of a young Jedi that Kenobi must train when he comes of age. But it seems that Lars will not be letting Kenobi get close to this child as he fears what happened to the child’s father will happen again.

To avid Star Wars fans, this warning from Lars draws connections to Kenobi’s training days with apprentice Anakin Skywalker and the downfall that followed. This also leads to the trailer’s second-biggest reveal which is the reincarnation of Darth Vader, played by Hayden Christensen, who we can see is being pieced back together to reunite with his one true Jedi master.
