Delicious Directory: Guide to Food and Wine Festival

Before you enter the World Showcase and indulge in the sights, smells and sounds of the Epcot International Food and Wine festival, take a look at this years map and list of events so you can plan ahead.

No one can be held responsible for their actions amid the bountiful international cuisine (and adult beverages), so we’re here to help you out. Feel free to wander aimlessly, but at least know what’s available during the festival!

First Bites Opening Reception:

  • Held at the Festival Welcome Center
  • Features food sampling, wine seminars and culinary demonstrations
  • Festival merchandise available for purchase
  • Performance by Taylor Dane, with possible other celebrity entertainment
  • When: September 29, 2011, 6:30-9:00pm

Price: $175 per person, plus tax (gratuity included) Theme park admission required


The Discovery of Chocolate

  • Held at the Festival Welcome Center
  • Features tastings and learning experiences from professional “chocolatiers”.
  • $70 per person, plus tax
  • Held on select Sunday afternoons

  • October 16th: Julian Rose
  • November 6th: Jean-Rene Thiery

“3D” Disney’s Dessert Discovery

  • Held at the World ShowPlace Pavilion
  • Select Friday evenings (as listed below)
  • Sample a variety of desserts and cordials
  • V.I.P. viewing for Illuminations: Reflections of Earth

Dates:

  • October 7: 7-8:30 p.m.
  • October 14: 7-8:30 p.m.
  • October 21: 7-8:30 p.m.
  • October 28: 8-9:30 p.m.
  • November 4: 8-9:30 p.m.
  • November 11: 8-9:30 p.m.

$55 per person, plus tax (gratuity included) Theme park admission required

Sweet Seats

  • Upgraded Disney Dessert Discovery experience that includes:
  • private reserved table
  • entrance to the World ShowPlace 15 minutes
  • before general admission
  • specialty beverage
  • unique dessert offering and more

Party for the Senses

  • Reserved seating at Eat to the Beat concert series at American Gardens Theatre, then wander through the taste stations and view various acts from Cirque du Soleil
  • Held at the World ShowPlace Pavillion
  • Select Saturdays from 7:30-10:00 p.m. (October 8, 15, 22)(November 5 and 12)

Wine View Lounge
Upgraded Party for the Senses package that includes:

  1. I hate I am going to miss it this year. It sounds like a lot of wonderful things are going on. All the food that is available during the Food and Wine Festival is fabulous. I think my next trip I will plan so I won’t miss it.
