Daredevil Actor Vincent D’Onofrio Poses for a Selfie at Disneyland Park

Marvel fans are freaking out online after a potential introduction of Kingpin from the Marvel and Netflix Daredevil series made it’s way into the most recent episode of Hawkeye and was met with an impromptu captionless photo shared by Vincent D’Onofrio on social media the same day the episode premiered on Disney+. Though D’Onofrio’s involvement in the series remains unconfirmed by Marvel, fans are convinced he is the illusive “Uncle” of Maya, aka Echo who was a primary focus in the third Hawkeye episode.

Maya Lopez (Echo) was a ward of Kingpin in the comics after her father was killed (under Fisk’s orders) and he took her under his wing, paying top dollar for her training and schooling until she was old enough to work for him. Kingpin used her against Daredevil, but Maya ultimately turned on Fisk after learning of his various deceptions. Maya even took on the role of “Ronin” for a time in the comics under the direction of Captain America, and was involved in the arrest of Madame Hydra.

IF we truly did see Vincent back in the iconic black suit of Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin this will have been the first official crossover between the Netflix shows casting and the MCU, but take that news with a grain of salt, because more than likely this could just be a “Variant” version of Kingpin played by the same actor (as featured in the Loki series and the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home film).
