Earlier today the National Hurricane Center reported that Tropical Storm Ian has strengthened and become a Hurricane. Guests who are on vacation in Central Orlando are flooding into the Magic Kingdom today to try to squeeze in a park visit before the weather turns bad starting tomorrow.

As you can see the lines to get into the Magic Kingdom are incredibly long this morning, and crowds are backed up to the Monorail and Boat drop-offs.

We haven’t seen this level of crowds since summer as for the past few weeks the crowd levels at Walt Disney World have been moderate, even Labor Day weekend which is typically very busy was fairly light.

Magic Kingdom has just opened and wait times are higher than normal, we expect these numbers to jump as more people flood into this fan-favorite theme park.

Hurricane Ian is expected to impact the Central Florida area starting on Tuesday through Friday as of now. As with all weather things could change at the next moment.
I recommend following the National Hurricane Center for the most up-to-date details. Stay safe everyone.
