Crews work on the tunnel for Disney World Railroad at Tron Lightcycle Run. It looked promising for the return of the Walt Disney World Railroad, and the guests waiting for its return. We have seen some major work being done to complete the Tunnel and finish reconnecting the whole track layout.
Crews over at Tron Lightcycle Run have laid down new Railroad tracks inside the tunnel, furthermore, the crews have installed overhead lighting, and added more tracks below the Peoplemover over in Tomorrowland. As it stands today, there are maybe 50 yards separating the tracks from being totally connected once again.
We have not seen the Walt Disney World Railroad in service since 2018, and are eagerly awaiting its return. We have seen the Steam engines getting the dust off and driving back and forth between Fantasyland and Adventureland recently, and this just adds to the excitement.
