Covid cases in Florida drop drastically ahead of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. Back in August, Covid cases spiked in Florida with over 150,000 new cases reported, since then, new cases have dropped dramatically. Either due to the cyclical nature of the pandemic or the total number of people becoming fully vaccinated new cases are way down.
According to COVID-19 Weekly Situation Report: State Overview, Covid cases in Florida have dropped by over 100,000 cases since August 20th. With the peak being total new cases 151.000 is way down to 55,000. At the same time, this past week alone, over 230,000 Floridians received the vaccine.

Florida’s total population sits at 21,975,117, and as of this writing, 13,536,480 have been vaccinated. We are just bringing you this info to show that cases are down and vaccines are up. This is very important with how many people are due to come to central Florida over the next few months.
Disney World is about to become a very very busy place with the 50th anniversary starting tomorrow. You can tell it will bring a ton of people into town since the resort says it is almost out of rooms!
