There’s no shortage of great places to find ice cream around Walt Disney World. From Dole Whips at Aloha Isle to Macaron Ice Cream Sandwiches at L’Artisan Des Glaces to the simple but delicious Mickey Bars at random kiosks, you can’t go wrong at any park. But the competition for the best Disney ice cream location is about to heat up. Figuratively speaking, of course.
Epcot’s Italy pavilion already has a fantastic little gelateria called ”Gelati.” It’s a small kiosk on the outskirts of the pavilion that boasts a lot of flavors. However, the demand for great gelato must be high because a new spot is under construction! It will be called ”La Gelateria.” Walls have been up to obscure the view, but this aerial photo provides an early glimpse of the exciting new vendor. There’s obviously still a lot of progress to be made. Maybe that will just give us extra time to dream up our wishlist for flavors: Stracciatella, Nutella, Nocciola…

”La Gelateria” and ”Gelati” will not be the only gelato vendors on Disney property. ”Vivoli Il Gelato” has been serving up masterful creations for years in Disney Springs. With an 85-year family-run history in Florence, they have a fearless approach to their creations. But the single scoop is ”fantastico” too!
Hopefully, we won’t have to wait very long to see what kind of gelato ”La Gelateria” will be serving up. One thing is for sure: if it’s anything like the kind its competitors serve it will be ”perfetto!”
