We are back with another construction update. This time we are at Epcot, checking out what will be the Guardians of the Galaxy coaster. This coaster has made headlines since it was first announced at last years D23 expo. Not only would it be Epcot’s first roller coaster, but it also took the place of the beloved ( but admittedly outdated) Universe of Energy Pavillion. This week it made headlines again when Bob Chapek announced that the ride vehicles would be unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before: they will rotate throughout the ride to direct your attention to show elements.
We are still a long way from being able to experience the innovative new coaster though. It isn’t slated to open until 2021- just in time for Walt Disney Worlds 50th anniversary.
All of the news about the ride for us wondering about the progress being made on the show building itself. No longer does it look like a shapeless blob of construction. You can now clearly make out the size and s going to be massive.
Check out the gallery below to see all of the pictures of the progress of the building!
