Construction paused on Disney’s Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Lodge future uncertain
Back in 2019 we shared news that a new Disney resort was in the works at Walt Disney World. Disney’s Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Lodge was planned to be located between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. It was taking over the former site of Disney’s River Country.

The status of the new resort is currently unknown. Work began on the area before the pandemic but recent rumors have been circulating that the project has been canceled.

Two years ago the island at top was rated as a “Tropical paradise”.”
Disney has not made any formal announcement about the project being canceled though it’s been removed from the press release. Looking at the aerial photo, it appears no work has been done in the area for a while.
