Construction and Refurbishment to begin at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa at the Walt Disney World Resort will soon undergo refurbishment. Beginning March 1, guests will notice construction and refurbishment work at the resort during daytime hours. The work will be done mainly on the DVC Villas at the resort.

Disney shared last fall that the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa would be getting enhanced and expanded accommodations. Work on those accommodations will begin next month.

The expansion will add approximately 200 proposed resort studios, a Disney Vacation Club room type unique to The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. At the same time, existing villas including deluxe studios, one- and two-bedroom villas, and three-bedroom grand villas will be enhanced. The planned expansion and enhancements will provide guests with even more opportunities to make magical vacation memories together with Magic Kingdom Park close by.
