Coco, Encanto, and Disney Villains Lands coming to the Magic Kingdom. Today at 2022 D23 Expo Jennifer Lee from Walt Disney Animation, and Chris Beatty from Walt Disney Imagineering, joined Head of Parks Josh D’amaro to discuss the future expansion of Disney’s Magic kingdom.
Imagineers discussed the possible expansion called Beyond Big Thunder Mountain which included the lands themed after CoCo, Encanto, and a possible Villians land. Plans are in early development, but guests could enter the casita from Disney’s “Encanto” and ride on an alebrije from Pixar’s “Coco”.
looking at a map behind Big Thunder is an area that is open for development and would not affect Rivers of America.
