Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift Track Nearly Complete at Universal Studios Florida
Construction is racing toward a major milestone on Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift at Universal Studios Florida, with only one remaining piece of track left to be installed. The new coaster has quickly transformed the park’s entrance skyline into a maze of silver track and towering dark blue supports, and our latest look shows just how close crews are to completing the ride’s full circuit.

The coaster is being built on the former site of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, bringing an entirely new high-speed experience to the front of Universal Studios Florida. From across the lagoon, the layout already looks packed with twisting turns, sweeping curves, and track elements that weave tightly through the construction site near the Hard Rock Cafe. That final unconnected section can still be seen rising above the site, waiting for the last piece that will officially close the track.

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will use the same style of ride vehicles as the version at Universal Studios Hollywood, including cars designed to rotate during the experience and create the feeling of drifting through each turn. While the vehicles will be familiar, the Florida coaster will feature a different track layout built specifically for Universal Studios Florida, giving Orlando its own spin on the franchise.

Universal Orlando has announced that Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is expected to open in 2027. With track work nearly complete, attention will soon shift toward testing, landscaping, station construction, and the finishing details that will bring the ride across the finish line.
