Walt Disney Pictures upcoming live-action movie “Cinderella” comes to theatres March 13, 2015. With just a few months to wait, Disney is giving us a glimpse into the beautiful costumes with the release of several Character Posters.
The first one shown above is of Lily James and Richard Madden as Cinder “Ella” and her Prince. The beautiful blue dress worn by Ella, includes butterflies and the details on Madden’s vest are a perfect compliment to Ella. My favorite poster.
Helena Bonham Carter is dressed in a gorgeous white with bluish hues dress perfectly fit for the Fairy Godmother and the Wicked Stepmother (Kate Blanchett) looks fantastic in her outfit complete with black gloves and black hat. The matching outfits shown below on the step sisters make them look almost angelic. I can’t wait to see the rest of the cast in their wardrobes. My vote for best costumes goes to Cinderella, based on these 3 posters alone.

The story follows the same classic we all know and love. Ella’s father remarried and suddenly passes away, leaving our heroine at the mercy of the horrible and jealous new family – Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella. When she meets a handsome stranger in the woods and thinks he is a palace employee, Ella thinks she has found someone to understand her. But things are not what they appear as Ella discovers her palace employee is really a prince. And the invitation to the ball of course, changes Ella’s life forever.
